The Spinder Dual Waterbed is designed to deliver exceptional cow comfort by allowing the animal to effectively “float” on a layer of water. This even distribution of weight helps to reduce pressure points, preventing issues such as bare patches and swollen hocks, while encouraging longer, more comfortable lying times.
What sets the Dual Waterbed apart is its two-compartment design. The separation between the front (knee) and rear (belly and heel) sections provides enhanced support, particularly when cows lie down and rise. This added knee comfort makes it an ideal solution for improving welfare across the herd.
Suitable for use with all types of freestall dividers, the waterbeds are supplied in rolls for easy installation. Once positioned, they are anchored securely and filled with water, creating a durable and low-maintenance cubicle surface.
Improved Hygiene & Reduced Labour
The shaped surface of the Dual Waterbed allows liquids such as urine and spilled milk to drain away efficiently. This helps keep the cubicle drier, reducing infection risk and lowering the likelihood of issues such as mastitis. With less moisture in the bedding area, farmers can significantly reduce the use of litter, saving both time and ongoing costs.

Correct Positioning
For optimal performance, correct positioning of the knee bar and neck rail is essential. This ensures cows lie and stand correctly within the cubicle, helping to maintain cleanliness and prevent improper positioning, such as standing with front legs in the cubicle and hind legs in the passage.
