Fitbox Freestall Divider
The Spinder Fitbox is a flexible and robust freestall divider designed to maximise cow comfort while supporting longer productive lifespans within the herd. Manufactured from high-quality fibreglass, the Fitbox introduces a more animal-friendly approach to cubicle design by allowing controlled flexibility when cows lie down or stand up.
Unlike traditional rigid dividers, the Fitbox gently flexes when contacted and then returns to position. This creates a more natural and comfortable interaction for the cow, reducing stress and encouraging correct positioning within the cubicle. The result is improved lying behaviour, particularly beneficial for older cows, and better overall welfare across the herd.
The slim fibreglass rods are both strong and functional, offering the durability of steel with added flexibility. Specifications
The Fitbox is constructed from solid 3 cm fibreglass rods, combined with steel connecting components and clamps. It can be adapted to suit a variety of cubicle sizes and layouts, with rods that can be easily shortened for a precise fit.
For modern Holstein cows, a cubicle width of 120 cm is recommended, although the slim design allows for widths of 115 cm where required.
